Date in a Box Limited trading as Dandelion Date in a Box; is all about making date night more than just something you wish for. The convenience of receiving an already planned date with everything you need all boxed up; the personal touches and quality products we use are all to make things as easy as possible for our customers.
Our credit card payment facility is handled by Stripe. You can read more about their security, policies, and privacy on their website.
We strive to bring you new and exciting experiences during your Date Nights; to help you make memories you’ll treasure for a long time. We use good quality products in all our date night boxes. The brand of content may differ in some instances due to availability, but we promise that the products are as close to each other as possible.
Changes To Terms
These terms may change without prior notice and all and any changes will apply to any future orders received.
We deliver date night boxes and gifts all over New Zealand. If all the items for your date night box or gift are in stock, your order will be dispatched within 3-4 working days, in most cases, this is the next working day. Depending upon the content of the box, we may decide not to ship your box out on a Friday to prevent any products to spoil or melt over the weekend.
You will be notified if any items in the date night box or gift option you ordered is out of stock. In this instance, please allow an additional 4 – 6 working days for your box to be shipped. We will keep you updated on the status of your order.
In ultimate worst-case scenarios, rural deliveries (as defined by the courier company) can take up to 7 business days.
We offer Free Shipping on all our products throughout New Zealand including Rural Addresses.
Delivery Time Frames (estimated):
> North Island – 1 – 3 days
> South Island – 3 – 5 days
> Rural – (as defined by our Couriers) 5 – 7 days
> PO Boxes – We are unable to send orders to PO Boxes
Please note that the above delivery time frames is only from the moment your parcel has left our premises and that at times deliveries can be delayed due to circumstances beyond our control (such as: natural disasters, road closures, bad weather, inter-island sailings being cancelled and the like). When your order is dispatched, you will receive an automated email (from GOSWEETSPOT) with all the details, including tracking details. Most orders are able to be tracked, but there is an exception to this rule in ‘some’ rural areas as the drivers do not always carry electronic scanners.
All our packages are sent with ‘signature required’ tracking. Please inform us if you would like your package to be left unattended. Take Note in this instance: We can not take any responsibility for products like chocolates that might melt due to weather conditions OR for damage to your parcel while it was left unattended on your request. If you have a Leave Unattended Location Tag the above terms are valid. We can not take any responsibility for products like chocolates that might melt due to weather conditions OR for damage to your parcel after it has been delivered. Otherwise, the courier will leave a card to call for the recipient to arrange re-delivery at a convenient time, alternate address or pick up from the agent/depot. We find that if you have an alternate daytime address, such as a work address that delivery is a quicker and smoother process.
While we do our absolute best to ensure timely delivery of your date night boxes and gifts, there are some situations that are out of our control, such as:
- Incorrect delivery address
- No access to the property and no-one to sign for the parcel
- Nobody responds to the courier to sign for the date night box
- Nowhere safe to leave the parcel when requested to leave unattended
- Recipients have moved or gone away on holiday
- The item is not collected, or re-delivery arranged once a card to call has been left
We try to use Post Haste for most of our packages, but NZ Couriers and NZ Post may be used in some instances. We take great care in packaging our items. Unfortunately, we can never tell you when exactly your parcel will be delivered; this completely depends on when the driver does his run in your delivery area.
Weekend / Public Holiday Orders
All orders received over the weekend (Fri – Sun) will be processed Monday morning. For Public Holidays, the order will be processed on the next business day.
Once payment for an order has been accepted, cancellation is at our discretion. Once an order has been dispatched from our premises, we are unable to recall it and cancellation is not possible.
Refund & Return
We are committed to making your shopping experience with us an easy and pleasurable one. In the unlikely event that products in your parcel are damaged, please send us an email along with photo evidence within 48 hours of delivery and we will get back to you. We will make arrangements to rectify any issues straight away. You will either be send replacement items for the damaged products straight away or receive a refund which will be determined and is at the discretion of Date in a Box Limited. Unfortunately, we cannot refund any purchases if you have changed your mind.
We reserve the right to refuse refunds if your parcel turns up after you required it, subject to us having stayed within the bounds of the terms and conditions listed on our website. Date in a Box Limited is not responsible for items that are delayed, damaged, or returned due to the supply of an incorrect delivery address – so please double check your details carefully!
NOTE: To comply with the law, Date in a Box Limited does not offer cash refunds under any circumstances.
What if I didn’t like my date night box?
Every box is different, and you will definitely have your favourites, unfortunately, we can’t refund you if you didn’t enjoy your date, but we doubt that will ever be the case. However, we would love to hear your feedback and inputs to make any future purchases more enjoyable. Contact us for any special requests. Keeping our customers happy is of utmost importance to us; after all, we want you to come back!
All prices are quoted in New Zealand dollars and includes GST. Prices, special offers, and promotional items are subject to availability, and Date in a Box Limited reserves the right to cancel or amend these without prior notice.
If we accept your order, you must pay us the purchase price specified at the time of submitting your order. All amounts payable are calculated in New Zealand dollars. You must pay these amounts by the means we agree with you at the time of submitting your order.
If your credit card details are invalid or the financial institution responsible for your payment does not approve the purchase transaction, we will contact you. We may stop delivery of your date night box or keep them until payment is made.
The prices displayed on each product page are per item and are including New Zealand goods and services tax (GST). All prices include shipping and handling fees.
Card Payments: We use Stripe, which handles 28% of online transactions in the world.
LayBuy: Laybuy lets you receive your online purchase now and spread the total cost over 6 weekly automatic payments. Interest-Free. Late fees may be charged for missed payments.
Bank Transfer: You can also choose to make a direct debit into our bank account, please note, boxes will only be shipped once payment has been cleared.
PayPal: Pay from your bank account, debit card, or any credit cards linked to your PayPal account. Read the legalities here.
All content included on this site, such as text, graphics, logos, button icons, images, and software, is the absolute property of Date in a Box Limited or its content suppliers and is protected by international copyright laws. This excludes property in which the rights of third parties are explicitly and immediately acknowledged.
